The Bellingham Centennial Committee

The Bellingham Centennial Committee is the official umbrella organization of Bellingham’s Centennial Celebration, 2003-2004. The committee was established by Bellingham Mayor Mark Asmundson in November 2002 and charged with developing a Centennial identity and overall themes, hosting signature events, sponsoring legacy projects, and collaborating on publicity, fundraising and endorsements. Organizers envision this group providing the framework and coordination point for honoring our past, celebrating our present and imagining our future.

We want you to participate!

The overall success of the 2003-2004 Centennial Celebration will depend upon the enthusiasm, collaboration, organization and resources of Bellingham’s many public and private organizations. We hope these organizations will build on existing events, activities and projects, and create new ones to honor our past, celebrate our present and imagine our future.
